This is not anti-Zionism, this is anti-Semitism. Read to the end.
So many times, leaders of Hamas, Hezbollah, and countries opposing Israel, as well as Palestinian and Islamic extremist organizations, say, "We're not anti-Semitic, we're just anti-Zionist!"
Through lies, they make people in the West believe that their focus and terrorism are directed solely against Israel and "Zionist goals" as political opposition, when in fact, they use anti-Semitic rhetoric and carry out terror actions against Jewish targets. This terror is not driven by opposition to Israel's actions but by hatred towards Jews and anti-Semitism.
Here are some examples:
In August 1929, approximately two decades before the establishment of the State of Israel, Arabs living in the british controlled region which is now known as Israel initiated riots against Jewish communities, including rape, murder, and humiliation. The main targets were Jewish communities in Jerusalem, Safed, and Hebron – religious Jewish communities that had existed for centuries. In Hebron, 67 Jews were brutally murdered, and the synagogue and cemeteries were desecrated, remaining in ruins for decades.
In June 1941, after years of anti-Jewish incitement and the spread of Nazi ideology in Iraq, the "Farhud" riots erupted against the ancient Jewish community in Baghdad and Iraq. Estimates suggest that between 200 and 1,000 Jews were killed, hundreds were injured, and many Jewish homes were looted, with hundreds of Jewish women subjected to rape.
In August 1981 in Vienna, two members of the Abu Nidal organization killed two people and injured 30 others in a Bar Mitzvah ceremony at a synagogue.
On May 16, 2003, terrorists associated with Al-Qaeda, identified with the Al-Qaida Organization in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), carried out suicide bombings in Casablanca, killing 44 people and injuring more than 100 in attacks against a series of targets related to Jews, including a Jewish cemetery, a Spanish restaurant, a Jewish-owned hotel, the Alliance Israelite Community Center, and the Pizzeria Fozitano owned by Jews.
All these attacks and hundreds more were perpetrated by Palestinian, Islamist, pan-Arab, or other groups associated with the Palestinian struggle. These attacks were not aimed at the State of Israel but against Jewish targets within the framework of the Islamist and Palestinian struggle in Israel.
The rhetoric of these organizations' members, as well as leaders of radical Islamist states, is anti-Semitic. They do not speak against the State of Israel or Zionism; they speak about Jews as a problem and the need to destroy the Jewish people.
(For example: Senior Hamas figure Fathi Hammad: "We will cleanse Palestine of the filth of the Jews, heal the nation from the Jewish cancer" Video attached.)
Their words do not oppose the State of Israel or the "occupation"; they are not interested in a Palestinian state alongside Israel or even just a Palestinian state. They want to destroy the Jewish people. They disguise their activities under political opposition to the State of Israel, but these attacks and their statements speak louder. They are like the Nazis, attempting to fulfill the Nazis' dream.
Faced with attacks against Jewish targets and anti-Semitic rhetoric, one must never close their eyes. extremist Islam is anti-Semitic and harbors hatred towards Jews, aiming not for the establishment of a Palestinian state but the annihilation of the Jewish people. Hamas is an inseparable part of this ideology, And no such radical Islamist organization should be allowed to exist.
