Ukrainian psychologists publish advice about celebrating during the war. This advice is for the families of the soldiers who are now on the frontlines. For those who are abroad with their kids, have nowhere to return and feel very lonely. For the families who lost their loved ones in the war.
For most Ukrainians.
Many of us have decorated our trees, put up lights and bought presents. But it doesn't do the trick. We don't feel the Christmas spirit.
Many of us are exhausted. We simply have no energy to feel or do anything.
We blocked away so many feelings.
During the holidays, we remember our previous celebrations - before the "Great war". When families were together. When cities were not bombed.
Winter holidays are all about family.
When and while we can, we will hug our loved ones if we are lucky to have then near. We will cherish our time with them. We will try to preserve childhood for our kids in this damned war.
