Dear Senators Manchin and Sinema,

Shame on both of you.

Frankly, you're not doing your fucking jobs.

You’re cowards who have betrayed the most vulnerable people in our country.

I look at the essential progress you're putting at a stand still, and I have to ask: What the hell side are you on?

-You voted against slashing childhood poverty.

-You voted against raising the minimum wage.

-You voted against tax cuts for corporations.

I come from education, and I worked with the most vulnerable children in our country for 20 years before coming to Congress.

I know firsthand the devastating impact that poverty can have on children's lives. That's why I'm so angry that you voted against continuing to cut childhood poverty.

Your vote against the child tax credit was a betrayal of the millions of children who are struggling to make ends meet.

Your vote against higher taxes for corporations and a higher minimum wage is a betrayal against working families.

These votes show that you are more interested in protecting the interests of the wealthy and powerful than helping the people who trusted you to serve.

When Democrats don't support the most vulnerable, we lose the reason why we were elected in the first place. We are here to do the work of the people, not line our own pockets or enrich the wealthiest among us.

I am deeply ashamed to have you as members of my party. You have betrayed the values that Democrats are supposed to stand for. I urge you to reconsider your positions and start fighting for the people who need you most.

Or resign, like the cowards you are.
