This shadow on the Superstition Mountains, Apache Junction, AZ, the cougar, only appears twice a year for approximately a week just as the sun is setting. It was amazing to watch...I'm filled with gratitude having been there to witness.

This wasp is “walking” on the surface of the liquid, as the forces acting from its legs balance out with the forces due to surface tension. Those small areas of shadow indicate the neighbourhood around the legs where stress is concentrated
