Our prisons and youth detention centres are overflowing.

In the NT, entirely with Indigenous kids.

Imagine your 10 year old kid in prison?

The recommended age of criminal responsibility is 14.

Something is obviously very, very wrong.

We have to address the underlying social factors instead of locking more, and more, and more kids up.

Once they’re inside, they are condemned to a lifetime of incarceration.

We are failing the kids.
