My music distributor, LANDR, based in Canada, emailed me saying they had to remove my live versions of “Glory to Hong Kong” from all music platforms due to pressure from the Hong Kong government. I then politely and sarcastically replied to the LANDR team. They have now compromised, agreeing to restore availability on most platforms, but restricting it only on platforms in China and Hong Kong.
Considering the original version by Dgx was also removed recently, it seems to be part of the Hong Kong government’s latest effort to suppress artistic freedom. But this time, they didn’t succeed!
