Last night, SpaceX launched 23 more Starlink satellites, including 13 Direct to Cell (DTC) beasts, adding muscle to their plan to erase cellular dead zones from the map.

This was SpaceX’s 48th Falcon 9 mission of 2025 (and the 31st Starlink launch this year alone—Elon doesn’t sleep).

Booster B1063 landed gracefully on the ‘Of Course I Still Love You’ droneship for its 15th round trip.

With 7,000+ satellites now buzzing overhead—over 570 of them DTC-capable—SpaceX is inching closer to global cell service, teaming up with T-Mobile, KDDI, and Rogers.

They’re just 4 launches away from finishing the initial DTC constellation, meaning that no bars on your phone might soon be a thing of the past.
