If there is something shocking in today's "progressive" American thinkers is how eager they are to present Americans and Britons as geniuses, while at the same time they exclude every non-English speaker as inherently inferior.

Eg in the case of Homer, they never even consider new interpretations by Greeks. Meanwhile the average Greek can read the ancient text and understand about 30%, whereas Americans need years of studies just to learn the alphabet.

They don't even acknowledge we exist; they act like we are some natural resource to be plucked and plundered.
